Superhero

My great-nephew had his 9th birthday a few weeks ago and I asked him what type of card he would like and he said a superhero. Then I got to looking at what I could do that was cool but not babyish and this is it. I found some clip art, copied it and then cut it apart to reassemble into my own superhero. I used all Stampin Up products, the ink is Brilliant Blue, the cardstock is Brilliant Blue, Real Red and Going Gray and the stamp set is called Starring You. Thanks for looking.

Happy Hellos

This is a card I made just because I loved the stamp set, its called Aviary. All the products are from Stampin Up. I used Tempting Turquoise ink and cardstock along with Designer Series Paper called Kaleidoscope. A little bling and ribbon and that was it. Thanks for looking.

August Birthdays

In August I have seven family members that have birthdays and I made cards for all of them but because I was having problems with my camera I didn't get pictures of them all. So here are the three that I did get pictures of. After looking at these it appears I was on a pink kick, not at all on purpose since I made them all at different time.
Starting at the top, this is the birthday card I made for my mother-in law, she's loves roses. I used all Stampin Up products, the stamp set is Elements of Style, the colors I used were Going Gray, Melon Mambo and Whisper White. I colored the flowers with colored pencils and then put it all together.
The second card was for my great-niece, she turned 9. I used mostly Stampin Up products, with the exception of the embossing folder, its a Cuttlebug one. The stamp set is Sweet Scoops, the colors I used were Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. I also used some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on the ice cream and cones.
The last card was one I made for my nephews girlfriend who is very tall and slender (like a model) so I thought how approriate the stamp set Chic Boutique from Stampin Up would work.
I used the Scallop Circle Punch and Lots of Tags Die from Stampin Up, a Spellbinders die and the papers were from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

I'm Back!

Boy, have I been slacking. I can't believe I haven't posted anything in over 3 months, thats bad. In my defense I have to say that at first I was having trouble with my camera and when I got that taken care of , my computer starts giving me problems. Anyway I have been productive and here is some of what I've been creating.

Mojo Monday #146

This is my first attempt at entering a challenge and I had fun making my entry. I wanted something with soft colors and I thought this worked well. This is for Mojo Monday Challenge #146. I used paper from a Close To My Heart Scrapbooking Kit called Miracle, Stampin Up inks in Soft Suede, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. The birdhouse stamp is from a local craft store and the sentiment "hand crafted" is Tiny Tags set from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking.

Ashlee's Birthday

This card is for my niece's birthday towards the end of July. She loves the colors black and pink, so when I saw this card on a blog (thanks for the idea whoever you are) somewhere I knew it would be perfect for her. I used Pretty In Pink paper and markers from Stampin Up, along with DCWV Glitter Stack paper. The image is a digital image (my first one) from Stichy Bear Stamps. I really enjoyed making this card and am happy how it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Rich's Birthday

I made this card for one of my brothers, he has a July 4th birthday and he loves to grill. I used red, white and blue colors and the King of the Grill stamp set from Stampin Up. I stamped the image two times and colored the "King" with colored pencils, then cut him out and added some pop dots to make him stand out on the paper. Thanks for looking.

Fathers Day

I just finished my Fathers Day boxes for my husband and father. I found the template for the tool belt on a blog, but I didn't write it down (thanks whoever you are) and made it. I really, really like the way it turned out so I thought what else could I do with this template and I came up with the jeans. I used Stampin Up paper and ink for both. For the tool belt I used Creamy Caramel paper and ink, did some paper piercing for the seams added brads and that was it. The jeans are done with Night of Navy paper and ink, again paper piercing and a brad. Thanks for looking.

Pretty Pink Watercolor

This is a card my mom made and I wanted to share it because I think its just beautiful. My mom and I often work on cards together and its something I really enjoy doing with her. It's great to be able to bounce our ideas off each other and just spend time together. Thanks for looking.

Motorcycle

I've been wanting to do more masculine cards and when I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it. I have seen this diamond plate metal look and knew it would be a perfect match for the motorcycle. I used mostly Stampin Up products with the exception of the embossing folder and the brads. I used ballet blue and black cardstock and inks. For the metal look diamond plate I placed a piece of foil on top of cardstock and ran it thru the cuttlebug embossing folder. The reason I used the cardstock with the foil is to help the foil keep its shape and it worked pretty well. Thanks for looking.

Yoli's Birthday

Well here goes, this is my first post. I used an older Mojo Monday Challenge for my sister-in-laws birthday card and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. When I saw the sketch I knew exactly which paper I wanted to use, its a paper I bought at one of the local craft stores. I used the Happy Moments stamp from Stampin' Up for the sentiment and flower image. For the flower image I first stamped it in SU basic brown and colored it with a blender pen in bermuda bay, pumpkin pie and old olive. Then I stamped the entire image with Versa Mark. poured SU iridescent ice embossing powder over it and heat embossed it. A couple of flowers, brads, glue and its done. Thanks for looking.
