Christmas X3
This is the first of 3 Christmas cards I made today. On this card I used all Stampin Up products but they aren't all Christmas items. The DSP is from Mocha Morning, the other card stocks are Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. I used three different stamps sets; French Filigree, Evergreen and Come to Bethlehem.
This card is done using Prismacolor colored pencils with the sled from Stampin Up's Winter Memories stamp set. I kept this card simple and let the stamp be the star.
This card I made using a tutorial from Lee Conrey over at her blog stampingleeyours, I copied it pretty closely. This card was very simple to make and has such a large impact I think. Thanks Lee for the wonderful inspiration.

Purple Flower
My niece had a birthday recently and I did this emboss resist technique for her card. I used all Stampin Up products on this card; papers were Perfect Plum, Basic Gray and Whisper White. I used En Francais for the background of the flower which is from a retired set Bloomin' Beautiful. Thanks for looking.
Caboose
Here's a card I made for a coworker for his birthday. The stamp is very intricate and I knew I wouldn't be able to use Copic markers so I colored it with colored pencils. It's my first attempt using colored pencils but I think it turned out okay and I will certainly be using them more often. Thanks for looking.

U Rock
Here's another birthday card, this one is for my niece who turned 11 on Saturday. I thought this paper captured her style without being too girly and the card is simple but the colors are exciting just like her. The background paper is Essentials Collection from Authentique and the other papers are scraps from Stampin Up. I stamped the flower twice, fussy cutting one and used the scallop punch on the other. Thanks for looking.
Birthday Boy
My nephew had his 3rd birthday on Friday and I made him this card. This stamp reminds me of him so much, he is all boy and very loving. I used Stampin Up products with the exception of the markers and they're Copic's. The paper is Midnight Muse and Lucky Limeade, the stamp is from the set Little Friends, and I used both the Labels Collection and Bitty Banners Framelits. Thanks for looking.

NAC #5
I thought I would get started with my Christmas cards and the team over at Nacho Average Challenge has a great sketch. I used Snow Festival DSP, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla for my papers. The sentiment is More Merry Messages, I just love all the messages in this set and I know I'll being using them a lot. The snowflakes are done with the Northern Frost Strip Die and some Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I folded Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and tied a simply knot. Of course I had to put a little bling for some sparkle. Well I'm off to clean house so that I can play later. Thanks for looking.

NAC #4
This is my entry into the color challenge over at Nacho Average Challenge blog; the colors are Pink Pirouette, So Saffron and Certainly Celery. When I went to gather my papers I didn't have but a few scraps of Pink Pirouette so that made it a little more challenging for me but I'm happy with the outcome.
This photo makes the colors much brighter than they are, the card actually looks much softer in person.
I just got this stamp set yesterday and was eager to use it; its Stippled Blooms and I think I'll be using it often. I also used the Apothecary Framelits and paper piercing mat, the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits and the Postage Punch. Thanks for looking.

Wish You Were Here #126
In cruising the internet I found a challenge at Totally Papercrafts and am entering this card. I was looking for some inspiration the other day and came across this stamp set I bought sometime ago but haven't done anything with until now, its a Hero Arts set appropriately called "Wish You Were Here". The person I wish was here is my daughter, its been since mid December that's she's been here and I miss her. The chair is colored with Copic makers (still in the learning stages but getting better as I go), you can't tell but I popped the table lamp and the mirror is made using the smallest Spellbinders Fleur di Lis Rectangle die with a small silver piece in the middle along with some bling in each corner. Thanks for looking.

NAC #3
It's the third challenge over at Nacho Average Challenge blog; I'm enjoying playing along in the challenges and look forward to them each week. For my card base and ribbon I used Pool Part (one of my favorite colors) and the other papers are Domestic Goddess DSP. I cut squares of the DSP, glued them on a piece of Very Vanilla, used the Top Note die to cut it and then used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I've done this "patchwork" type technique before and I really like the way it turns out. Thanks for looking.

You're Sweet
I'm entering this card in the color challenge over at Our Creative Corner. I've used Midnight Muse, Pretty in Pink and Marina Mist for my colors. Again I used the Papaya Collage stamp set and I also used You're Sweet stamp. The fancy frame is Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles. The flowers are made out of Pretty in Pink Subtles DSP and a scallop circle punch; cutting and rolling to form the flower. A piece of Night of Navy ribbon and some bling. Thanks for looking.

NAC 2
Nacho Average Challenge has a color challenge this week; More Mustard, Riding Hood Red and Lucky Limeade and this is what I came up with. I used the Papaya Collage stamp set on this one along with Finial Press (retired) embossing folder. The color challenge wasn't as hard as I had expected and I really enjoyed making this card. Thanks for looking.

Thinking of My Daughter

I made these for my daughter for Valentine's Day, just so she knows I'm thinking of her. You see she lives 2000 miles away and I miss her terribly. The top image is a template from PTI and the bottom image is a notepad I made. Both pieces are made with Stampin Up products, the print paper is Spice Cake and I also used Pool Party, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla cardstock.
Thanks for looking.

This is a birthday card I sent to one of my nieces for her birthday. The print paper is from Authentique called Uncommon and I used Very Vanilla from Stampin Up for the card base. I've added some pearls in a few spots, popped some flowers that I fussy cut from the paper and kept it pretty flat for easy mailing. The layout was from MOJO Monday. Thanks for looking.

My New Year's resolution is to post on a regular basis to my blog because I make cards pretty often but I don't post them. I would have to say one of the reasons I don't post is because that I'm not much of a photographer so this means I'll have to improve my skills there so that I can create better posts. I also need to get better at editing the photos once I take them. Anyway here's to learning new things. I'm open to any suggestions or ideas you have in this area, so please feel free to comment.
